Vacuum pneumatic conveying with Dosing system
The SYVRAC pneumatic suction conveying system enables the safe suction and transfer of powders and granules from silos, big bags, or hoppers. The cyclofilter ensures efficient air/product separation and precise dosing, either in continuous or batch mode, for food, chemical, or pharmaceutical applications.
- Vacuum pneumatic conveying with cyclofilter
- Flow rate up to 8 t/h
- Integrated or loss-in-weight dosing
- Available in ATEX configurations
Description
The SYVRAC vacuum conveying discharge system is specially designed to meet the requirements of process industries needing safe and hygienic transfer of powders and granules.
Suction is performed under vacuum using suitable pumps, allowing the product to be drawn directly from big bag discharging stations, silos, or buffer hoppers. The product is conveyed as an air/product mixture through a piping network, either in dilute or dense phase, depending on the powder characteristics and conveying distance.
Upon arrival in the transfer cyclofilter, the flow is separated: the air is filtered through replaceable filter bags, while the product is collected in the receiving chamber. The pneumatic cleaning system ensures continuous and efficient filtration.
Below the cyclofilter, several dosing solutions are available: integrated weighing for precise batch applications, loss-in-weight weighing via butterfly valves, or continuous dosing using a rotary valve. The modular SYVRAC design allows perfect adaptation to any industrial process.
All components are available in painted steel, stainless steel 304L, or stainless steel 316L, and comply with ATEX regulations (zones 20, 21, 22). Optional features include NEP/CIP cleaning systems, Syvrac Automation, mobile frames, and level sensors for optimized operation.

Operating mode
The vacuum conveying discharge system operates through an automated sequence of steps ensuring product safety and precise flow control.
1 • Feeding the transfer line
The product to be conveyed is drawn from a big bag discharge station, a silo, or a buffer hopper. Suction is provided by a vacuum pump that creates a controlled negative pressure within the piping network.
2 • Vacuum pneumatic conveying
The product is conveyed as an air-product mixture through the piping network, either in dilute phase or dense phase vacuum mode, depending on the product characteristics and conveying distance (up to 70 m and flow rates from 0.5 to 8 t/h).
3 • Air-product separation in the cyclofilter
Upon entering the transfer cyclofilter, the flow is separated:
- Solid particles are collected in the receiving chamber.
- The air is filtered through filter bags and discharged to the atmosphere or a dust extraction network.
4 • Product dosing
Depending on the selected dosing mode:
- Integrated weighing in the cyclofilter: the product is directly weighed on load cells for precise batch applications.
- Loss-in-weight dosing with motorized butterfly valves to perform successive batches.
- Rotary valve for continuous and regulated feeding to downstream equipment (mixer, bagging machine, etc.).
5 • Recycling and cleaning
At the end of the transfer, automatic line purge and Clean-In-Place (CIP) cycles can be integrated to ensure process hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
