Description
During the pneumatic unloading of a tanker truck to a silo, controlling the quality of incoming material is crucial. The SYVRAC sampler is installed on the unloading line during truck transfer (pneumatic conveying) to perform regular or occasional sampling without interrupting the flow.
The system consists of a hygienic sampling chamber equipped with an automatically controlled motorized valve. At each command, a fraction of the product is diverted to a container, ensuring the representativeness of the sample.
The installation is food-grade certified (316L stainless steel, polished surfaces), easy to clean (CIP compatible), and can be installed in ATEX zones if required. The system is designed to integrate without pressure loss into existing transfer lines.

1 • Hygienic Sampling Chamber
The core of the SYVRAC sampling system is based on a fully hygienic diversion chamber positioned in-line on the pneumatic transfer pipe. Made of polished 316L stainless steel, it includes a motorized butterfly or ball valve, automatically activated during sampling cycles. When a sample is triggered, a small fraction of the powder flow is instantly diverted to a secondary tube without interrupting the main transfer. This operation causes no pressure loss and ensures a representative sample of the batch. The design is optimized for clean-in-place (CIP): adjustable internal spray nozzles, no dead zones, and quick disassembly. Suitable for food, pharmaceutical, and chemical environments, the chamber is also available in an ATEX zone 21/22 version.
2 • Automated Control & Traceability
The system is controlled via a touch control box or integrated into the full installation’s HMI. The operator can configure:
- The number of samples per delivery (manual or automatic)
- The trigger timing or threshold (time, flow rate, volume)
- The association of the sample with a batch, delivery, or truck code
Each operation is recorded and time-stamped for complete traceability within quality management software (ERP, LIMS). Alarms can be configured in case of no sampling or missing container. Centralized control also allows synchronization with the supervision of the receiving silo or unloading station.
3 • Sample Collection & Security
The diverted sample is directed into a closed food-grade stainless steel container placed beneath the sampling chamber. This container can be:
- An individual sealed jar
- A multi-station rotating collector
- A secure disposable bottle in a sealed compartment
This system ensures the integrity of the sample without operator contact. Optionally, a ventilated storage cabinet or an automatic labeling system can be integrated to prepare the sample for analysis. The entire assembly is mounted on a mobile or fixed frame with safety locking to prevent unauthorized opening. This level of protection is essential for industries with high quality or regulatory requirements (IFS, GMP, HACCP, GMP).
