Description

SYVRAC resin silos are specially designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding environments. Their composition of polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass provides excellent resistance to corrosion, UV rays, and mechanical shocks. Unlike stainless steel silos, resin offers better thermal insulation, preventing thermal bridges and reducing costs related to additional insulation.

Moreover, SYVRAC is the only manufacturer to have obtained a food migration certification LNE No. P237654/0001-V1 dated 17/06/2024 for its resin silos, ensuring full compliance for the storage of food-grade raw materials. Thanks to their lightweight construction and modular design, these silos are easier to install and offer great flexibility in layout.

Isophthalic resin provides greater resistance to chemicals, humidity, UV exposure, and high temperatures compared to orthophthalic resin. Certified for food product storage, these silos offer superior thermal insulation, eliminating the need for additional insulation in most cases.

Difference Between Isophthalic, Orthophthalic, and Vinyl Ester

Isophthalic resin is the most efficient in terms of resistance to UV rays, osmosis, and corrosion, making it the ideal choice for outdoor environments and the food industry. Orthophthalic resin, which is more economical, is used for less demanding applications but has lower resistance to chemical exposure. Finally, vinyl ester is a compromise between the two, offering better chemical resistance than orthophthalic resin but without reaching the performance level of isophthalic resin.

Natural Thermal Insulation

Isophthalic resin silos provide better thermal insulation than stainless steel, maintaining a stable temperature inside the silo without the need for costly insulation systems. This prevents condensation issues and preserves the quality of stored materials.
